Sometimes certain areas of shoes wear more than others. Rather than fully restoring your whole shoe, we can restore only worn areas. This is specifically suited to worn toes or worn heels.

This service covers restoring just a focused area of your shoe. If your whole shoe need restoring, your item may be more suited to our full restoration service.

Dependencies and Risks

Patent shoes? We can restore patent in some cases. Patent shoes are judged on a case by case basis, depending on colour and extent of damage.

Very worn? If your shoes are very worn, we’d recommend a toe piece, half resole or reheel to restore their functionality.

Wedge or block heel? This service doesn’t cover the restoration of shoes with wedge or block heels. You can send us photos of your shoes to get a preliminary quote.

Scuffed ? A platform under the toe requires extra restoration, so an extra £70 will be charged.

Dirty shoes? Heels with a degree of dirt or mud will require a £55 special clean before restoration can begin.

The Process

We begin the restoration process by cleaning your stilettos. Our cleaning and care artisans will clean the whole shoe internally and externally with a mild detergent specific for the material.

With the clean complete, our restoration artisans will identify a part of the shoe where the colour is as close to the original as possible. We use this area as a reference to hand mix and match pigment that will be used to restore your shoes. We begin by using specialist leather filler to repair scuffs, tears or scrapes. Once complete, the pigment is applied in thin layers evenly across the affected area.

To finish, a protective coating is be applied to prevent colour loss and ensure the adhesion of the pigment to the leather. The finish is adjusted to match the shine of the original item.
